FAQs

Do you take insurance?

No, unfortunately the standard insurance model does not allow me to provide the type of personalized care that I like to provide. Unfortunately there are many restrictions placed on healthcare workers by insurance companies.

At Perform and Recover PT we are able to create a personalized and effective treatment strategy that is best for you, not dictated by insurance companies. This is more effective and allows you to recover faster and with fewer visits.

We do, however, accept HSA and FSA accounts and can provide a invoice that you may submit to your insurance company upon request. Please note that every insurance company is different and it is not guaranteed that you will be fully reimbursed.

Each client is responsible to look into their own insurance coverage and benefits and is responsible for payment prior to the start of the session.

How much space do I need for a session?

Very little! A space approximately 7ft by 3ft is big enough to fit the treatment table.

What is body work?

Think deep tissue massage — but targeted and with movement. We will work through muscles to loosen and length them by gradually working deep into the muscles that are causing pain/restriction. Michelle will check in with you throughout the entire session to ensure that you are not too uncomfortable.

How do I know if your treatment will help me?

Every body is different and responds to treatment differently. If you are unsure if Perform and Recover PT is right for you, please reach out.

What should I wear for the session?

It is necessary for the area of treatment to be visible for the session. For example, shorts for a lower body injury and a tank top for an upper body injury are the best options.
